Salmon Falls River Campground Policies

A few rules and regulations to keep our campground safe and family-friendly.

GENERAL

Check-in is from 2:00 PM-7:00 PM

Check-out is 11:00 AM

Late check-out is available for an additional fee, contact the office before 10 AM for extensions.

Quiet Hours: 10 PM- 8 AM

Kids must be supervised and at their sites by 10 PM.

Speed limit is 5 mph.

The maximum camper length is 40 feet.

Campsite rates are based on 1 family consisting of 2 adults and up to 4 minor children (under 18), 1 camping unit, and up to 2 vehicles.

3rd dog $5 per reservation.

We require a copy of your driver’s license or a valid state-issued ID and a valid credit card upon check-in (even if you pay in cash)

Storage fees: $50 per day – $350 per month or $1,000 for the entire off-season period of October 15th – May 10th. Campers will be stored on a campsite or in the field. Limited availability.

Smoking and Alcohol: No smoking in any public area. Drink responsibly, no aggressive or loud behavior will be tolerated.

NO FIREWORKS OR FIREARMS

Reservations for short stays of 1 to 3 nights will be taken with prepayment.

  • Full payment must be made at the time of the reservation.
  • Holiday weekend reservations require a minimum stay of 3 nights.

 

GROUP RESERVATIONS

Maximum of 6 sites. EACH SITE is a separate reservation and must be booked by the person who is staying on the site. Each person can call the office at 207-339-8888 -or- each person can submit the reservation request form. Only one reservation per form.

If you are arriving in more than one car the additional vehicle will be permitted if the site is large enough, if not the additional vehicle must park in visitor’s parking area. For additional information on fees and reservations please scroll down this page and/or view our policies page.

 

VISITORS

All registered guests must ensure that their visitors have registered with the office.

  • EVERYONE MUST CHECK IN AT THE OFFICE UPON ARRIVAL – this applies to all guests and visitors.
  • All visitors are required to park in the visitor parking area and then register at the office.
  • Once a visitor’s pass has been issued, visitors are welcome to drive their vehicles to the site they are visiting (providing parking space is available) If not you can park up front or down by the activity center. You must have a visitor tag in your window at all times.

Visitors are not allowed to bring pets.

Day visitors:  Adults $10 |  Children 5 & older $7  |  Children under 5  FREE

Overnight visitors:  Adults $15 |  Children $10 |  Children under 5  FREE

HOLIDAY WEEKEND visitor rates: (Memorial Day, 4th of July, and Labor Day)

Adults $15 day |  $20 overnight |  Children under 5  FREE

Children $10 day |  $15 overnight |  Children under 5  FREE

  • Visitors are allowed to enter the resort from 9 AM – 8 PM. No unregistered visitors are allowed to enter after 8 PM unless prior arrangements were made with the office. Day visitors must depart by 10 PM. Overnight visitors must depart by 11 AM
  • MAXIMUM of 4 visitors per site.

 

Cancellation Policy for reservations

  • A 2-week (14-day) cancellation notice before your first nights stay to avoid forfeiting your deposit. There is a cancellation/processing fee of $25.00 for any cancellation.
  • Cancellations of 8-13 days will forfeit the deposit on the reservation.
  • Cancellations for holiday weekends forfeit the full payment on the reservation.
  • Cancellations made 1-2 days prior to your arrival date or during holiday periods will be charged the full amount for the reserved time.  This also applies to customers who do not show up for their reservation.
  • Cancellations of seasonal sites forfeit the deposit and any payments made on the seasonal site.

 

DOGS

when traveling with your dog many states, such as Maine, require a copy of your rabies certificate to be kept on file. Please present a rabies certificate for each dog when checking in. NO aggressive dogs are allowed at the resort. Visitors may not bring dogs. Clean up after your pets, adults only walking pets over 20 pounds.

After your check-in, we do not issue refunds for any reason such as, but not limited to, stays shorter than originally reserved for, planned re-arrangement, inclement weather, illness, family disputes or early departure. Your credit card number (on file) will be used to charge for any damages to our property or equipment. We are not responsible for the loss or theft of any personal property.

We do not allow ANY aggressive people or pets at the camping resort.
